CleanWhale operates as an intermediary platform (marketplace) that connects you with independent Contractors providing cleaning and other services.
CleanWhale issues you a VAT invoice only for the Order Handling Fee — our remuneration for intermediary services: selecting and verifying the Contractor, coordination, and handling documents and payments.
The service is provided and documented directly by the Contractor, who issues you a separate document for its full value: a VAT invoice if the Contractor is an active VAT payer (VAT deductible on your side), or an invoice without VAT or a bill if the Contractor is exempt (a tax-deductible cost, without VAT deduction).
You therefore receive two documents per order, and both are tax-deductible costs. Your final price and payment method stay the same.
How we calculate VAT
CleanWhale charges VAT only on its own remuneration, not on the value of the service — the seller of the service is the Contractor, not CleanWhale. Our invoice: the Order Handling Fee plus 23% VAT, fully deductible on your side. The Contractor's invoice: VAT depends solely on their status. There is no double taxation — VAT appears at most once on each side.

Washing a sofa yourself can take half a day — removing cushion covers, taking the couch apart, treating stains — and still not give a satisfying result. On top of that, delicate fabrics like real or faux leather, wool or silk are easily damaged in a washing machine. CleanWhale cleans your sofa professionally with Kärcher equipment, at your home, so you get a guaranteed result without risking the furniture.
Our upholstery specialist sprays hypoallergenic cleaning agents onto the sofa at the right temperature and extracts the dissolved dirt, treating every part of the furniture with steam. There is no need to remove covers or cushions, which is why the whole service usually takes about an hour regardless of size — and the sofa is ready to use the same day.
The price depends only on the size of the sofa, never on the fabric, and cushion cleaning is always included. A two-seat sofa costs from 140 zł, and the largest item in our price list, a seven-seat corner sofa, is 200 zł. You see the full price before confirming the order.
Baking-soda paste or vacuuming freshens the surface but does not remove stains, mites and allergens deep in the fibres. Aggressive stain removers, used by an untrained hand, can even damage the material. Professional cleaning is safer and far more effective — and our agents are fully rinsed out, so the result is safe for children and pets.
